Recap of 2019 NOCO Night to Shine

2019 Northern Colorado Night to Shine

On Friday, February 8, 2019, the Northern Colorado Collaboration team consisting of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Grace Community Church, Mosaic, Foundations Church, Crossroads Church, and Timberline Church welcomed over 500 friends with special needs to a night that truly celebrated them being kings and queens. Over 1000 volunteers helped make 2019 Northern Colorado Night to Shine an amazing night!

Prior to the dance, our female guests had the opportunity to have their hair and make-up done and then were whisked away by limos transporting them to the main event. Once guests arrived at Foundations Church, they walked down the red carpet while being greeted by a paparazzi team.

Inside the church, they were able sing their hearts out in 2 separate karaoke rooms or bust a move on the dance floor to our live band and DJ! We had photo booths set up, limo rides through the parking lot and professional prom photographs taken. Special appearances were even made by superheros and movie characters such as Captain American, Batman, Jack Sparrow, and Chewbacca. The evening was capped off by every guest being crowned king and queen of the prom!

Please join us next year on Friday, February 7, 2020 to celebrate those with intellectual disabilities in our community. Stay tuned for details!
